Report on Training Program for Non-Teaching Staff Members at
V B Tech Automation, Ahmedabad
The Training for non-teaching staff members, Mr. Manish Patel & Ms. Dipa Patel, Laboratory Assistant, Department of Pharmaceutics from Shree S K Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education & Research, Ganpat University on Tablet Compression Machine & it’s Automation was organized at V B Tech Automation, Ahmedabad on 10/08/2024 from 11.30 PM to 3.30 PM. This training was co-ordinated and accompanied by Dr. Rakesh P. Patel, Prof. & Head of pharmaceutics dept., SKPCPER, Ganpat University
During the training, various aspects related to Tablet Compression Machine were explained such as central driven system in the tablet press machine, the complicated parts to maintain in regular basis and assembly of the machine. 12 station Tablet press machine was Operated and trial was taken on the latest lab model in the industry with auto weight control system design as per 21CFR part 11 with single tablet rejection and sampling, motorised die fill. Various Modules operated in the machine like:

Created Recipe (Tooling, Shape of Punch, Size of Punch, tablet thickness, weight, Required Compaction Force, Force Feeder, Die Fill adjustment, Compaction Force Parameters, Solenoid Valve Timing, Main Compression Thickness, Pre-Compression Thickness, Turret RPM)

Created Batch (Batch Code, Batch No. Batch Size

Calibration (Loadcell Calibration, Die Fill Calibration with 5, 10, 15 mm Distance Pieces)

Diagnostic (Checked all Analog Inputs, Analog Outputs, Digital Inputs, Digital Outputs, Alarms)

Operations Screen: Operated the machine with force feeding system with turret 10 RPM and Force Feed 15 RPM, Die fill at 6 mm and started the machine in AWC, first two rotation was rejected as per the parameter list, Switching ON AWC tablets we under the rejection limits and if it crosses the limit tablets were getting rejected by pneumatic air blow (Fukni), also got sample tablets after few rotations. Have observed Compaction Force Graph for Main Compression, Pre-Compression and Ejection Force. Also, on another screen there was Average of all Compaction force with calculative deviation in % and Dwell time.

Reports: Force data of Main Compression, Pre-Compression and Ejection with (Individual Punch, all punches and average in graphical and analog formats). Recipe Reports, Batch
Reports, Log Report, Alarm Report, Calibration report, User Modifications report and many more.

 User Management: created user with options of User, Operator, QA/QC, Administrator, have also edited their designation and many more.
