Dr. Arti R. Thakkar, Associate Professor, Drug Regulatory Affairs and Pharmacy Practice,
Amity University, Noida & Co-convener, IPGA – Women Forum, New Delhi has delivered a
session during this webinar as an expert.
In this national webinar, more than 55 undergraduate and postgraduate students, faculty members of
various pharmacy institutions, & industry personnel from more than 12 states have participated.
Dr. Arti has provided a thorough in site on current scenario of Pharmaceutical Research and
Innovations in Indian Pharmaceutical industry. She has highlighted various emerging areas for
research & innovation with aid of new and latest technologies in Indian pharmaceutical industry like
Precision Medicine; mHealth Technology; 3D printing; Microscopic Robots (Nanobots); Artificial
Intelligence & Machine Learning; Robotics and Pharmacometrics. She has explained in detail about
the concepts, significance and applications of Pharmacometrics in Pharmaceutical Research and
Innovations. She gave insight into various pharmacometrics software such as Pumas, NONMEM,
Simcyp etc. used in development of new drug therapies. At the end of the session, Dr. Nilesh has
addressed various questions of the participants with thorough clarification
