Shree S. K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research, Ganpat University organized Two Days Workshop on “HANDS ON TRAINING ON ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES: SPECTROSCOPY & CHROMATOGRAPHY” SERIES - III on 10th & 11th January, 2020. ❖ Dr. S. A. Patel (Coordinator), Dr. P. U. Patel (Scientific Advisor) and Departmental Members (Dr. D. B. Patel, Dr. S. K. Patel, Ms. R. A. Patel, Ms. R. J. Jani, Ms. D. H. Rami) were managed the overall organization of the workshop. ❖ The workshop was started with the opening ceremony in which Dr. R. K. Patel (Pro Vice Chancellor, Ganpat University & Principal/Executive Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy) welcomed the participants and guests and Dr. S. A. Patel, Coordinator introduced all participants about the workshop. ❖ Three theory sessions were organized in the workshop. First session was handled by Dr. Kunjan Bodiwala on “Theory, instrumentation, applications & demonstration of IR Spectroscopy”. Second theory session was handled by Dr. S. S. Shah on “Basics of Spectroscopy & Theory, instrumentation and applications of UV/Vis. Spectroscopy”. Third session was handled by Mr. Saroj Katara, SPINCO Biotech on “Theory, instrumentation, applications & demonstration of HPLC”. ❖ Two practical sessions were planned and executed in the workshop. First practical session was handled by Dr. S. A. Patel on “Methodology for practical training on double beam UV Vis. Spectrophotometer”. Second practical session was jointly executed by Dr. S. A. Patel, Dr. D. B. Patel, Ms. R. J. Jani and Ms. R. A. Patel on “Live practical training on double beam UV Vis. Spectrophotometer”. ❖ More than 155 participants from different science and pharmacy colleges have participated in this workshop. The workshop was ended with certificates distribution. The workshop obtained very good responses from the participants
