Student Startups and Incubation Centre, Ganpat University sponsored One Day Seminar on “Entrepreneurship Awareness” was organized by Ganpat University - Shree S. K. Patel College of Pharmaceutical Education and Research on 12th September 2024. Total 109 participants were registered and participated in the seminar. In the inauguration function, Dr. P. D. Bharadia, Principal of the college welcomed and introduced the guests. Dr. Saurbah Dave, Pro Vice Chancellor & Executive Dean (Startup) has given overview of the importance of entrepreneurship in today’s economy & highlighted how entrepreneurship drives innovation, creates jobs, and contributes to economic growth. He has also outlined some of the unique sill sets needed to become successful entrepreneur. He has given overview on Activities and Policies of Startups and Incubation Centre of GUNI. Dr. Tanmay N. Patel, Director, Spensus Pharmaceuticals Ltd, has delivered a key note session on Entrepreneurial Opportunities in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. In this seminar, four eminent entrepreneur resource persons delivered their speech with Power Point presentations and interactive sessions. Dr. Rakesh P. Patel, Coordinator of the seminar delivered vote of thanks. In the closing ceremony, Dr. Rakesh P. Patel, Coordinator congratulates all the participants.
This seminar on Entrepreneurship Awareness was aimed at creating awareness among students about various facets of Entrepreneurship while highlighting the merits of pursuing such a career option and to help the students develop entrepreneurial mindset, learn enterprise initiation and development skills. In this seminar, students were exposed to different aspects of Entrepreneurship including opportunity guidance, services offered by agencies of support system, and interaction with successful Entrepreneurs India. The program received grand response from the students and they were truly motivated to take Entrepreneurship as career in the future. Such feedback boosts us and our mission to create Entrepreneurial India.

In this seminar, following topics were delivered:
1. Creativity, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
2. Entrepreneurship opportunities in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, Neutraceuticals Pharmaceutical API Manufacturing, & Clinical Research
3. Activities and Policies of Startups and Incubation Centre of GUNI
In these sessions, the expert used several examples to narrate importance of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurship as a career option. They have highlighted current scenario of SME development at state and national level with government policy and support (focused on pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors)
The First session was delivered by Dr. Tanmay N. Patel, Director, Spensus Pharmaceuticals Ltd has delivered a key note session on Scope of Entrepreneurial Opportunity in Pharmaceutical Manufacturing. He pointed out some of the essential skills and characteristics students should have to start their journey as entrepreneurs. He presented current scenario of Indian pharma manufacturing business at national & global level. He has described techniques for brainstorming & evaluating business ideas & explained methods for market research & validation to ensure the idea meets a real demand.
The Second session was delivered by Mr. Krushnakant Patel, Founder & Managing Director, Zeon Group of Companies on Career opportunities in field of Nutraceuticals. Mr. Krushnakant has explained his vast experience in field of Nutraceuticals business. He has elaborated importance of a solid business plan for any type of business and entrepreneur mind sets along with key components including mission statement, market analysis, business model, and strategic goals.
Third session was conducted by Mr. Ajit Solanki, Sr. Clinical Team Manager, ICON plc. He delivered session on topic: Global Scenario of Clinical Research. Mr. Ajit highlighted current and future scenario of clinical research. He described in detail about the how different phases of clinical trial conducted, leading CROs in india and global level & how pharmacology students can build their career in the field of clinical research.
Fourth session was delivered by Dr. Manish Patel, Director, Pramukh Pharmachem Pvt. Ltd on Entrepreneurship Scope in API Manufacturing. He has highlighted essential requirements to be considered in setting up API business like Financial, infrastructure, utility, marketing, regulatory norms, etc. He has also described in challenges & future scope in API business. He also explained the case studies with technicality of API Manufacturing of Nicorandil, Ondansetron HCl & Leflunomide.
