“sponsored by Ganpat University Centre for Advanced Research Studies (CARS) on 13 th July 2024 with the
aim of bridging the gap between academia and industry, as well as fostering collaboration . The event
brought together more than 50 distinguished professionals from the pharmaceutical industry. The objective
of the event was to foster collaborative research and innovation, enhance exchange of knowledge and ideas
and refine the skills of professionals , as well as resolve queries / problems and carry out research jointly
with & for Industry
In the inauguration function Dr. P. D.
Bharadia Executive Dean, Faculty of Pharmacy and Faculty of
Sciences & Principal of S K . P atel C ollege of Pharm. Education & Research) welcomed, introduced the
guests and gave overview of the Meet .
Dr. Ganpat Patel (President and Patron
in Chief, Ganpat University) extended his blessing s for the success
of this Meet.
Dr. Mahendra Sharma
Pro Chancellor and Director General, Ganpat University ) highlighted the role of
Academia in catering the need of Industry in solving the problems of Industry.
Dr. R. K. Patel (Pro
Vice Chancellor, Ganpat University) explained the Industry within University and
University within Industry model of Ganpat University.
Dr. Tanmay Patel (President Gujarat State Pharmacy Council
Director Spensus Pharmaceuticals Pvt .
Ltd.Ltd.)), shared the role of Ganpat University in his professional journey. He also requested the Academia to
come forward and help the industry to solve the challenges faced by industry fo r upgrading the present small
and medium scale manufacturing facilit ies.
Mr
. Valay Modi (Assistant Commissioner FDCA, Mehsana) as a senior regulator of pharma profession,
emphasized on keeping pace with the new upcoming regulatory requirement with the help of expertise of
academia.
Keynote
speech was delivered by Chief Guest Shree T. K. Solanki (Assistant Director, GOI MSME
Development & Facilitation Office, Ahmedabad) Ahmedabad). He explained various schemes and policies of MSME for
benefit of Industry & financial assistance available for Industry .
A networking session
was conducted on "Company Spotlights: Introducing Our Industry Participants" which
facilitated meaningful interactions between industrial participants.
In the
afternoon session, Dr. Praful Bharadia Executive Dean FoP FoS & Principal , SKPCPER )
conducted the session on “Research to Revenue: Role of Academia”. He explained the expertise of Faculty
of Pharmacy & Faculty of Science to cater the need of Industry.
A very informative session on
“Role of Incubators in Streng thening Ideas into Enterprise” was delivered by
Dr. S. S. Savale, (CEO, Atal LMCP Foundation, L. M. College of Pharmacy, Ahmedabad).
In afternoon, the third exciting n etworking and round table discussion session was planned on different
theme which are need for Industries, like Formulation Development & Biotechnology, Analytical Method
Development and Validation, Regulatory compliance & Training & Skill enhancement , Phytochemical and
Pharmacological Investigation, API/Impurity Synthesis & Green Chemistry , jointly c oordinated &moderated
